Prohibited Banner Ad Content Policies
1. Our Magazine Standards are very Strict
Advert Ads must not violate any our magazine standards as outlined below..
2. Illegal Products or Services
Advert Ads must not constitute, facilitate or promote illegal products, services or activities. Advert Ads targeted to minors must not promote products, services or content that are inappropriate, illegal or unsafe, or that exploit, mislead or exert undue pressure on the age groups targeted.
3. Discriminatory Practices
Advert Ads must not engage in predatory advertising practices or contain content that discriminates against, harasses, provokes or disparages people who use this magazine.
4. All Tobacco Products
Advert Ads must not promote the sale or use of tobacco products and related paraphernalia.
5. All Drugs and drug-related Products
Advert Ads must not promote the sale or use of illegal, prescription or recreational drugs.
6. All Unsafe Supplements
Advert Ads must not promote the sale or use of unsafe supplements, as determined by this magazine at its sole discretion.
7. All Weapons, Ammunition or Explosives
Advert Ads must not promote the sale or use of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
8. All Adult products or Services
Advert Ads must not promote the sale or use of adult products or services.
9. All Adult Content
Advert Ads must not contain adult content. This includes nudity, depictions of people in explicit or suggestive positions or activities that are overly suggestive or sexually provocative.
10. Third-party Infringement
Ads may not contain content that infringes on or violates the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary rights. 11. Sensitive Content
Advert Ads must not contain shocking, sensational, disrespectful or excessively violent content.
12. Personal Attributes
Advert Ads must not contain content that asserts or implies personal attributes. This includes direct or indirect assertions or implications about a person’s race, ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, age, sexual orientation or practices, gender identity, disability, medical condition (including physical or mental health), financial status, membership in a trade union, criminal record or name.
13. Misleading or false Content
Advert Ads must not contain deceptive, false or misleading content, including deceptive claims, offers or business practices.
14. Controversial Content
Advert Ads must not contain content that exploits controversial political or social issues for commercial purposes.
15. Non-functional landing Page
Advert Ads must not direct people to non-functional landing pages. This includes landing page content that interferes with a person’s ability to navigate away from the page.
16. All Surveillance Types
Advert Ads may not promote the sale of spy cams, mobile phone trackers or other hidden surveillance equipment.
17. Grammar and Profanity
Advert Ads must not contain profanity or bad grammar and punctuation. Symbols, numbers and letters must be used properly, without the intention of circumventing our ad review process or other enforcement systems.
18. Non-existent Functionality
Advert Ads may not contain images that portray non-existent functionality.
19. Personal Health
Advert Ads must not contain “before-and-after” images or images that contain unexpected or unlikely results. Advert Ad content must not imply or attempt to generate a negative self-perception in order to promote dietary, weight loss or other health-related products.
20. All Payday or cash advance Loans
Advert Ads must not promote payday loans, paycheck advances or any other short-term loan intended to cover someone’s expenses until their next payday.
21. Multi-level Marketing
Advert Ads promoting income opportunities must fully describe the associated product or business model, and must not promote business models offering quick compensation for little investment, including multi-level marketing opportunities.
22. All Auctions
Advert Ads may not promote any auctions, bidding fee auctions or other similar business models.
23. Counterfeit Documents
Advert Ads may not promote fake documents, such as counterfeit degrees, passports or immigration papers.
24. Low-quality or disruptive Content
Advert Ads may not contain content leading to external landing pages that provide an unexpected or disruptive experience. This includes misleading advert positioning, such as overly sensationalised headlines, and leading people to landing pages that contain minimal original content and a majority of unrelated or low-quality advert content.
25. All Related Spyware or Malware
Advert Ads must not contain spyware, malware or any software that results in an unexpected or deceptive experience. This includes links to sites containing those products.
26. Automatic Animation
All Ads may not contain audio or flash animation that plays automatically. No animated banners of any sort will be allowed.
27. Unauthorised streaming Device Sites
Advert Ads may not promote products or items that facilitate or encourage unauthorised access to digital media.
28. Circumventing System Ads
Ads may not use tactics that are intended to circumvent our ad review process or other enforcement systems. This includes techniques that attempt to disguise the ad’s content or destination page.
29. Prohibited Products and Services
Ads may not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency.
