Carolina Rose comes from Norwood NC, a small town in Stanly County located in eastern North Carolina, forty miles east of Charlotte.
As a young girl, she would sit on the front porch for hours, singing along with the jukebox at the Deluxe Grill which was next door to her home.
At the age of seven her idol was Kitty Wells. The first song she learned was Making Believe.
Since that time her interest in Traditional Country and Bluegrass Music has continued to grow and be influenced by such greats as Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Martha Carson and most recently by Stacy York.
She became more interested in Bluegrass Music when she met and performed on shows with James Monroe and Joe Isaacs.
For the many years she has been performing at benefits and clubs in the Charlotte NC, Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Nashville, TN.
Upon moving to Nashville, Carolina Rose had the pleasure of meeting two very special ladies.
First being Martha Carson, the “First Lady of Gospel Music”.
They became friends and Carolina Rose started appearing on Ms Carson’s shows, including a show on The Midnight Jamboree at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop.
She next met Roni Stoneman, part of the legendary “Stoneman Family” and regular on the long running television show Hee Haw.
They became friends and she now occasionally appears with Roni Stoneman and Hillbilly Fever.
Carolina Rose recently released her third album titled “Breaking Out”, which is said by many to be her best yet.
It was produced by Joe Isaacs who did a wonderful job. Joe also played and sang on the album, along with Stacy York.
In February, 2005, Carolina Rose and AL Jones and Frank Necessary started combining their shows and are traveling together when possible.
They enjoy playing music together and just being together. They played the Jerusalem Ridge Festival in Rosine, KY. at the Monroe Farm.
They appear on the Cumberland Highlanders TV Show on satelite. On Dish channel 9409 and Direct TV 379. The show is hosted by Campbell Mercer and comes from the Monroe Farm in Rosine, KY.
She wrote a book about her Life Story in 1965. She led a very interesting life for the most part. She later found out who her Biological Father was. He was the Legendary “Father Of Bluegrass” Bill Monroe.
So she is no stranger to the music world.She toured with Roni Stoneman from Hee Haw and also with the Late Martha Carson.
She has lived in Nashville Tn and Myrtle Beach. In Myrtle Beach she waited tables and played with the Playboy Band at the Amvets.
She was billed as the only singing waitress on the grand strand. She has done several benefits as well as several radio and television shows.. So again she is no stranger to the music industry.
She is a Nashville recording artist. She is singer/songwriter/Performer/Entertainer. She sings Country/ Gospel/Bluegrass.She dresses classy on stage unlike some of the artists today.
She has 11 albums out as of right now. With plans on making some more in the future with Sid Cox from Tx and Col Donna Ray from La.Also plans on writing the second book.

In 2015 she won Artist of the Year @ Country Blast Radio Show
In 2016 she won Entertainer of the Year @ Country Blast Radio Show
In 2016 she won the Kentucky Colonel Award . This award is a very high honor which is signed by the governor of Kentucky.
In 2017 she wad inducted into the Gospe/Bluegrass Hall of Fame. She also has articles in 7 magazines from Germany “Fair Play Country Music Magazine.
Plus two calendars with on the cover of 2017 and one of her for March of 2018. Also a book “Carolina Bluegrass” “A High Lonesome Highway”
